Nutrition and learning by Mind Map: Nutrition and learning

1. Poor nutrition (sugar, dyes, preservatives, simple carbs, and high fat/calorie foods) are hurting our children's ability to learn.

2. Behavioral issues can be positively linked to foods that do not provide good nourishment.

3. Children learn by example. If parents are making nutritionally sound decisions regarding meals/snacks, children will also.

4. Picky eating is not the same as unhealthy eating. Isolate the difference with your child by keeping a log of what they eat and make better choices as to what food is available to eat.

5. For our children to succeed in learning, it is up to the adults in their lives to teach them what to ear and how to make better nutritional choices. In doing so they will be calmer, healthier, less distracted and less hyper.
