1. Grades

1.1. Based on the article, boys are most likely to have discipline problem.

1.2. In a magazine article, male students make up 3/4s of the amount of Ds and Fs in our education system. Also male student's college entrance test scores are falling drastically.

1.3. Some universities are lowering the test score and grade requirements just so they can admit a healthy amount of male students.

2. Personality

2.1. Henry's personality was very different making it harder for the staff at the school to deal with him.

2.2. "If the official high school culture was über-nurturing, he’d be über-crude. If it valued cooperation and sensitivity, he’d devote his mental energies to violent video games and aggressive music. If college wanted him to be focused and tightly ambitious, he’d exile himself into a lewd and unsupervised laddie subculture."

2.3. This quote basically describes how Henry would act the opposite that society or an authority figure would want him to act.

3. Learning

3.1. The education system needs to be restructured and suited for all types of students like Henry.

3.2. Every student learns differently and the education system has be "homogenous" meaning that all students are taught and expected to learn the same way.

3.3. Instead of looking at the students as being the problem, our educational system must take a step back and understand their flaws

4. Discipline

4.1. Our education system rewards students who stay disciplined with their school work and do well on test.

4.2. Students who don't fit the criteria that the education system wants them to be are looked down upon and punished

4.3. When in comes to Henry's situation, he is the type of student who learns differently and will rebe from the typically educational system.
