1. Has it impacted our recent generations? negatively or positively?

1.1. negatively: there has been a 30% increase on suicides being one of the leading deaths for people in mid thirties

1.1.1. parents with trauma can impact their children's mentality in how they cope with stress, etc.

1.2. I thought about this topic because I've seen that younger people are more open and out there with their concerns, and I work with kids daily. After spending so much time together, they can confide in me and tell me some personal issues that happened. So, I just wondered if what happened will it mainly negative or positive.

1.3. the positive would be that more people are recognizing that mental illnesses are not to be ignored.

2. Does current social media platforms cause or lead to mental disorders such as social anxiety and insomnia?

2.1. As a person who so much into social media, I love seeing memes and I think it is hilarious when people have beef with others on twitter, instagram and fb. However, I am aware that it is time consuming and it is the reason I might not finish hw or something, so I wondered if it impacts individuals to such disorders.

3.4. Disorders are serious and people sometimes joke alot about them, especially PTSD. So I was wondering if the fact that many people joke about them, does that lessen their existence or severity?

4. My topic sentence would be: Due to recent exposure of media, there is a sense of thoughtlessness on mental illnesses

4.1. This topic correlates to humanities and social sciences, because it is using social media as an artifact and it is studying human behavior.

5.1. researchers are hesitant to accept it has increased due to older generations not seeking treatment or admitting to their depression unlike now

5.2. Being in college, there are so many people who say they're depressed as a joke at times, or so stressed out that it can lead to their depression. It has just concerned me as someone who is exposed to that population.

6. social anxiety

6.1. I've met people who have social anxiety and they struggle daily with just simple interactions, or they've grown to be more resilient. I also work with alot of ADHD students, and sometimes they suffer from social anxiety too.

7. How much money goes into providing funds towards mental health?

7.1. is it the first thing cut off bills for education or for a state?

7.2. as someone who wants to be a child psychologist in the future, this is a man concern for me. I also know from recent news that in Arizona, they do not think about mental health so much.
