INFINITIVE GERUND

1. ¿how to use it? gerunds are frequently used when the actions are real or completed. the gerund describes an action that is, something that you do
2. When the verb is the subject of the sentence: Smoking is dangerous for your health.
3. After a preposition (normally it is about verbs or adjectives with obligatory preposition): I’m interested in learning English. // I’m fond of playing tennis.
4. After some verbs like: deny, avoid, can’t help, like, dislike, enjoy, mind, keep on, suggest, finish etc. Example: He finished doing his homework.
5. Infinitive:The use of the infinitive ( I would like to travel) and the gerund (I like travelling) in English is a common source of problems among students Probably because the two structures are translated into Spanish with the same structure.
