1. John Marshall believed that Marbury deserved his commisions that Madison owed him. The court decision was a unanimous 6-0 vote in favor of Marbury

5. This case is extremely important because it allowed for the Supreme Court to review any sort of legislative acts and determine wether or not they are constitutional. This is called Judicial Review. This also allowed the Supreme Court to become as powerful as the other two parts of the United States Government.
