1. The Canopy

1.1. This level creates a roof for the bottom two layers.There are many leaves, so animals have food to eat in abundance. These animals that live here are tree frogs, toucans, and snakes.

2. The Emergent Layer

2.1. The trees at this level can reach up to 200 feet tall and 16 feet wide. There is plenty of sunshine that can be reached here. The animals that live here would be monkeys, eagles, bats and butterflies.

4. The Forest Floor

4.1. It is extremely dark at the bottom of the forest floor. There are not many plants that are capable of living at the floor, but if a leaf falls, the decay process is very quick.

5. The Understory

5.1. More sunlight can reach this level of the rainforest. Also, more animals tend to live in this level, which are red-eyed tree frogs, jaguars, and leopards.
