1. 3. Development

1.1. The creation of the course that puts into motion ideas from design phase. Storyboards, content and graphics are created.

1.1.1. Steps: Answer these questions: What will each part of my lesson / training look like? What kind of interactions will there be? What will my graphics, colors and fonts be? How will the course be navigated? How is feedback integrated?

2. 4. Implement

2.1. After the development phase has been tested, the course / training is actually delivered to the learners

2.1.1. Steps: What LMS will course be uploaded to? Is a facilitator guide necessary? If so has the facilitator been brought up to speed on everything? How will the ID monitor the course? How is the lesson / course introduced to create motivation?

3. 5. Evaluation

3.1. How the course is evaluated - meaning how do we know that the objectives were met and that learners learned what they needed to know?

3.1.1. Steps: Ask following questions: Did I ask learners for their feedback? Were assessment task results what were expected? How engaging did learners think the course was and how well did training equip them to do their jobs better?

4. 1. Analysis

4.1. An inquiry and auditing phase where instructional problems or skill gaps, learners backgrounds, and learning goals are all discovered

4.1.1. Steps: Ask questions such as: what is the point of this training or course? What are the specific skills and pieces of knowledge that learners will need to master? Who do I need to talk to in the organization to figure out the needs?

5. 2. Design

5.1. Design of content: the learning objectives, assessment tasks, learner exercises, and media and course format

5.1.1. Steps: Design formative and summative assessment tasks that match objectives, choose a course format, and create an instructional strategy
