3.1.1. New technology can either help or harm the situation, so U.S. leaders must be more careful at using new technology in war

3.2. Nixon's plan of Vietnamization didn't work- The U.S. wanted to be able to leave Vietnam so they came up with a plan. They were slowly going to leave and replace American soldiers with Vietnamese ones. Lesson Learned: We learned that sometimes you don't always get a win. Or even that sometimes you just shouldn't enter a war that doesn't involve you.

4. ***Government*** What is the role and responsibility of the American government?

4.2.1. When the government creates large social programs and cuts taxes, government debt will increase

4.3. We "lost" the war. The Vietnamese took over after we left- After the U.S. soldiers left the Vietnamese soldiers took over. They weren't strong enough to hold off the North. The North took over and spread communism. The government/military could've made a decision to prevent this but they didn't. Lesson Learned: Sometimes you should step up and take charge. But other times it's best to pull back and let things play out. This is what the U.S. did. When the North took over they let it play out because of what happened the first time they entered the war.

5. We entered the war- the people didn't think it was right that we entered a war that didn't have to do with us. The United States enter the war to prevent the spread of communism. Lesson Learned: After we left the North Vietnamese entered South Vietnam. Instead of interfering with them we just let it go.

6.1.1. America didn't do anything to save the Jews, so they were still put in camps

6.2.1. For black rights and force if needed

6.3.1. Blacks were continuously fighting for equal rights and to stop Jim Crow laws
