1. About Australia
1.1. Aboriginal people arrived in Australia about 50,000 years ago. They may have traveled from Asia across land bridges that were exposed when sea levels were lower. The hardy Aborigines have learned to live in the harsh conditions of the outback.
1.2. The period is estimated to have lasted between 40,000 and 60,000 years.
2. What Is Prehistoric Period?
2.1. Prehistoric period is divided into two Ages, Stone and Metal Age.

3.1. Stone Age
3.1.1. Mullers (a smaller hand held stone) and millstones (typically large, fairly flat "anvils") were used with water to process soft shelled seeds from plants and grasses.
3.2. Metal Age
3.2.1. Aboriginals ( People who once live in Australia ), were not interested in metal refining because it was not valued.
