1.1. -Students learn best when home and school are able to work together in harmony. Engage parents!

1.1.1. Parents may feel nervous about engaging the school for a variety of reasons. Teachers should reach out to try and build trusting relationships.

2.1. Students are unique and will learn differently from one another.

2.2. Students will learn best if they feel safe, respected, and valued.

2.3. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and may have different ideas about school, teachers, learning, etc. A variety of world views and ways of doing things exist within the walls of a classroom.

3. Give students opportunities to talk and share.

3.2.1. When creating groups, variety is the spice of life! Students should have opportunities to talk with other students at the same level as them, and also students at different levels.
