1. PC Operating Systems

1.1. Ubuntu 11.04

1.1.1. Pros: Open source. Ubuntu is configured to gofor most casual users.

1.1.2. Cons: Frequent Releases. Requires unreliable emulation torun most Windows software.


1.2. Windows 7 -

1.2.1. Pros: Lots of Programs. It is everywhere.

1.2.2. Cons: Very Expensive. Windows 7 has to be purchased andthere you can't customization it.

1.3. Mac OS X -

1.3.1. Pros: It looks great and ease ot use. The software and hardware are supposeto work together for optima experience.

1.3.2. Cons: Windows is still the premier gaming PC, you can stillrun many games on Mac OS X but not all of them. most of the time the OS will not be involved.

2.1. Processor

2.1.1. Intel - Intel Corporation (; ; ) is an American technology company, andthe world's largest semiconductor chip maker, based on revenue.

2.1.2. AMD - Age-related macular degeneration:macular degeneration that is age-related.

2.2. RAM -

2.2.1. Acronym for random access memory, a type of computermemory that can be accessed randomly; that is, any byteof memory can be accessed without touching the precedingbytes. RAM is the most common type of memory found incomputers and other devices, such as printers.

2.3. Motherboard -

2.3.1. A printed circuit board containing the principal components of amicrocomputer or other device, with connectors into which other circuit.

2.4. Video-card -

2.4.1. A video card, video adapter, graphics-accelerator card, displayadapter or graphics card is an expansion card whose functions.

2.5. Peripherals

2.5.1. Microphone - An instrument for converting sound waves into electricalenergy variations, which may then be amplified.

2.5.2. Speakers - Computer speakers, or multimedia speakers, are speakers externalto a computer, that disable the lower fidelity built-in speaker.

2.5.3. Camera - A device for recording visual images in the formof photographs, movie film, or video signals.

2.6. Monitor -

2.6.1. An instrument or device used for observing, checking, orkeeping a continuous record of a process or quantity.

3. Browsers

3.1. Chrome -

3.1.1. Pros It’s ahead of its time. It thinks way outsidethe box.

3.1.2. Cons Limited quantities. You can never quit orminimize the browser.

3.2. Firefox -

3.2.1. Pros Has more available browser add-onsthan any other browser out there. Browser is free of charge.

3.2.2. Cons Firefox is killing add-on compatibility. Most of the old browseradd-ons no longer work.

3.3. Explorer -

3.3.1. Pros Internet Explorer has managed to makesignificant improvements with its browser interface. Browser is free of charge.

3.3.2. Cons Firefox has one gigantic edge over Internet Explorer. Microsoft browser is a target for exploit hackers.

3.4. Opera -

3.4.1. Pros Opera’s browser іѕ light-weight аnԁ well-built. Thе download аnԁ program size іѕ much smallerthаn IE, аnԁ іt offers multiple ways tο improve thеspeed.

3.4.2. Cons Opera іѕ a separate companionship, ѕο downloading іѕnecessary. Fοr ѕƖοw connections, downloading thіѕ programсουƖԁ bе hard аnԁ уου mау hаνе problems getting іtdownloaded.

3.5. Safari -

3.5.1. Pros It isn’t hard to figure outwhere the links and buttonsare. Bookmarking is made easy.

3.5.2. Cons Can’t really personalize a lot. Does not allow for awhole bunch ofcustomization.
