3.1. GRADUATE ENGINEERS

3.1.1. Malaysian, practice engineer in Malaysia,

3.1.1.1. register as GRADUATE ENGINEER

3.1.1.2. under BEM

3.1.1.3. if FAIL : ILLEGAL under Registration of Engineers Act 1967 (revised 2002)

3.1.2. Basic Requirement

3.1.2.1. an engineering degree accredited/recognised by BEM or:

3.1.2.2. Pass in Part I & Part II of Engineering Council examination of UK or:

3.1.2.3. Pass in Part I & Part II of the IEM/BEM Graduate Examination in any particular Branch

3.2. TEMPORARY ENGINEERS

3.2.1. Foreign CItizen, practice engineering in malaysia

3.2.1.1. shall register as TEMPORARY ENGINEER

3.2.1.2. under BEM

3.2.1.3. if FAIL : ILLEGAL under Registration of Engineers Act 1967 (revised 2002)

3.3. PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS

3.3.1. Method 1

3.3.1.1. Previously worked under Professional Eng (PE) with same discipline for number of years stipulated, prepare logbook, summary of experiences, accumulate enough credit hours and attend Professional Assessment Examination (PAE) organize by BEM

3.3.2. Method 2

3.3.2.1. Work under PE with same discipline for number of years stipulated, prepare logbook or detailed report, summary of experiences and attend Professional Interview (PI) organized by The Institution of Engineers (IEM)

3.3.2.2. once get corporate membership (MIEM) with IEM, you may apply to BEM to obtain PE status
