1. Who are you writing for?
1.1. Be clear about your goal for the reader
1.2. Keep it simple, someone who is unfamiliar with the subject should still understand the document
2. Use an outline
2.1. And stick to it!
3. Introduce, Expand, Conclude
3.1. This structure applies to individual chapters/topics as well as the whole document
4. A picture is worth 1000 words
4.1. Use illustrations coupled with descriptive captions to get your point across clearly
5. Revise!
