COMPARATIVE

1. Two-syllable adjectives. With most of two - syllables or more adjectives that do not end in Y,you form the comparative with the use of the word MORE. Example: Peaceful - More peaceful.

2. If the two-syllable adjectives ends with -y, change they to i and add -er for the comparative form.Example: Happy - Happier.

3. If there is only one syllable,with more than one vowel or more than one consonant at the end you add -er. Example: Fast - Faster.

4. Exceptions. Irregular adjectives. Good-Better Little-Less Far-Farther Bad-Worse

5. Rosa Maria is more careful than Concepción.

6. Besides comparing people and objects,you can also compare places considering location,environment,cultural facts and general condition among other aspects.Comparative adjectives end with the suffix-er.

7. Noun+verb be +comparative adjective+than+noun.

8. If the one-syllable adjective ends with an e, just add -r for the comparative form. Example: Large - Larger

9. If the one-syllable adjective ends with a single consonant with a vowel before it,double the consonant and add-er for the comparative form. However,do not double the consonant in words ending in -W-X or -Y.

10. One-syllable adjective ending with a single consonant with a single vowel before it. Example: Fat - Fatter

11. Dany´s car is larger than Max´s car.
