Athena is the Greek goddess of wisdom and war. She is the daughter of the almighty Zeus, the king of the all gods and goddesses. She has a brother known as Ares, who is also a god of war. Athena almost never showed her temper. However, there is one known accont where this still tempered goddess did. She was challenged by a mortal to see who is a better weaver, and Athena took this to offense. So, she took the challenge and beat her and then was going to hang Arachne, the lady that challenged her. Then, Athena took pitty on the lady and instead turned her into a spider.
Aphrodite is the goddess of love, fertility, beauty, sexuality, and pleasure. She was born out of sea foam in a giant shell. The god of the sea gave her life. Aphrodite was married to a god named Hephaistos. However, she had an affair with Ares, the god of war. She has many stories, myths, and tales about her. The story that is most well known is a myth of her promising the most beautiful girl to a man named Paris.
Hades as you know is the the god of the underworld. He is often refered to as a grim figure. He is said to have power over the earth, and all its treasures along with reign as Lord of the Underworld. Hades has a magical cloak that turns him invisible, which was created by the Gods allies, the Cyclops. Hades is transferred into different religions as different dieties such as Satan.
Poseidan is the Greek God of water (both salt as well as fresh) and horses. Poseidan won control over water when the Gods divided control over the world. His weapon the mighty three-pronged trident is his most know represenative. this is how he was perceved or reconized.
