1. Interim/Benchmark Assessments
1.1. Definition: Tracks if a student is on track to where they need to be to succeed.
2. Diagnostic Assessments
2.1. Definition: Informs teachers of student achievement gaps and is usually given at the start of a lesson
2.1.1. Examples: Pre test, or ungraded survey
3. Summative Assessments
3.1. Definition: Often given at the end of a lesson as a final project and is often high stakes. This means point values are often high.
3.1.1. Examples: Midterm exam or a final paper
4. Formative Assessment
4.1. Definition: Given to collect data and modify instruction based on feedback.
4.1.1. Examples: Quizzes or Discussions
5. Performance Assessments
5.1. Definition:This assessment can cover multiple TEKS and is product oriented
5.1.1. Examples: Play/Skit or created a book on a historical figure your researched
