1. Is one of 4 ancient civilizations, started from the Shang dynasty, over 3000 years of history. The dynasties: Zhou dynasty, The Qin and Han dynasties, The Sui dynasty, The Tang dynasty, The Song Dynasty, The Yuan dynasty, The Ming dynasty, The Qing dynasty, The Republic of China - modern China.

1.1. architecture has both modern and traditional features ; wooden columns, ornaments or traditional sculptures, adoped western style of design, a lot of vertical buildings. They use a lot of geometrical forms and simple shapes, prefer to use larger space.

2. Because of large space, has several climate zones: equatorial, tropical, subtropical, moderate. There are 5 temperature zones: cold-temperate zone, mild-temperate zone, subtropical zone, tropical zone. Has really bad air pollution that hits the population several times in a year.

2.1. World`s fourth largest country, a lot of water resources (rivers), most of the land is covered by hills, mountains, they are 2/3 of the country`s land. Most popular landscapes : Tibetian plateau, Taklamakan, Huangshan. Native animals - giant panda, Golden Snub Nased Monkey, Tibetan Macague, Dinturog.

3. Traditional clothes: Hanfu, a dress from cloth and silk is the oldest traditional clothing. The traditional cloth can be either in two pieces (upper - collar cloth that can be wrapped around the waist and lower piece - a skirt) or a one-piece dress - shenyl, a formal dress from the Han dynasty.

3.1. Colour symbolism : Fire - Fire(happiness and good), Yellow-Earth(power and prosperty), Black - water (evil, sadness), white - metal (purity and death), Blue -wood (immortality)

4. Ancient inventions of China ; paper, gunpowder,the crossbow, the abacus, first tea, movable type and print machines, porcelain,

4.1. There are 7 major dialects of Chinese language : Mandarin, Wu, Yue (Cantonese), Xiang, Min, Hakka and Gan

5. Five official religions : buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Catholicism and Protestantism. Taoism and Confucianism are also popular.

5.1. Philosophy : Neo-confucianism, confucianism, taoism, legalism, buddhism, mohism. Fengshui is also popular.

6. Culture : are less emotional in front of strangers, physical contact (hugs, etc) is only for the lcosest people. They follow the forbearance - putting up with things without protesting. Smoking is spread. In public places, they talk more louder than Westerns. Really care about own social connections/relationships with other people, because they believe it is useful. Money is really important for them, a lot of students study hard to get into top universities and overwork. They really respect/care about their familier, especially about elders. Grandparents have the power of making decisions within the family.

6.1. Cuisine : Sichuan - salty, Hong - KOng - sweet/savory, northern - salty , southerm - sour. dumplings, wheat nuddels, steamed buns, rice with vegetables,soup, tofu,hotpot,soya, bean srouts. Chinese still often eat their traditional dishes.

6.2. Chinese New year is celebrated all over the counrty.

7. What do they like : Gambling, playing video games, technologies (smartphones, TVs), buffets (elderly people), watching single player sports. Young people like : gathering with their companies in a restaurant, karaoke, blind dates, WeChat (their social media), watch korean dramas.

7.1. prefer even numbers over odd numbers. Number 8 means wealth and success, it is used and loved a lot. But number 4 is preferred to not be used, because it sound similar to their word of 'death'Traditional animal images : bat - happiness, crane - longevity, dragon - cosmic energy, good fortune, fish - abundance.
