1. Tier 1

1.1. Call on student frequently. By asking Deena constant questions, she will be frequently reminded of the required task. During teaching time, general comprehension questions must be prepared before hand so she will get questions she will know, if order to raise her confidence.

1.2. Break down assignments. When Deena gets confused she immediately goes off task. By breaking down the assignment into manageable steps, Deena will be more likely to stay on task.

1.3. Move to a new location in the classroom. By removing surrounding distractions, Deena will be less likely to go off topic.

1.4. Data Tracking Strategy

1.4.1. General Tracking Form.

2. Tier 2

2.1. Functional Behavior Assessment. I understand her ADHD is the reason for her inattention, but by understanding which of the preceding stimuli are more likely to draw her off topic I will be able to limit those influences.

2.2. Self Monitoring. By developing a self monitoring system, we can have visual representation of her participation in class, and give Deena a tangible goal to work toward. Use These Behavior Self-Monitoring Worksheets in Your Classroom

2.3. Teach Social Skills. As she is often off topic, she is bothering students around her. By reminding Deena that other students may not be interested in the same things she is, at the same times, we may improve her ability to interact with the class. This would in turn improve her confidence and make her more likely to focus in class. Behavior & Social Skills | LD OnLine

3. Tier 3

3.1. 1. Daily Behavior Form. A more in depth from that will require parental involvement.

3.2. 2. Mentoring. By allowing Deena to spend time with an individual once a week for about 15 minutes in a relaxed setting we will be able to get more of an insight into the moments that pull her off topic.

3.3. 3. The Praise Game. At tier 3, this is an individual activity. Deena could be singled out and praised for answering a question, being ready for class, or remembering to bring her book to class.
