1. EXAM.: An Apple, An Elephant, An Umbrella, An Hour

1.1. AN is used when the next word begins with a vowel sound (a,e,i,o,u)

2. When the next word starts with a consonant sound A

3. An article is a word used to modify a noun which is a person, place, object or idea.

4. We use A/AN with singular nouns and the first time we refer to a person, animal or thing.

4.1. EXAM: A child, A elephant, A television

4.2. We don´t use A/AN with possessive pronouns, demostratives or cardinal numbers.

4.2.1. EXAM.: My shirt is dirty, This car is expensive, one person is in the recepcion.

5. We use ONE(or more) instead of A/AN when the number is important.

6. A is use when the next word beging with a consonat sound (b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m,n,p,q,...etc)

6.1. EXAM.: A Book, A table, A clock

7. The difference between A an AN depends on the sound at the benning of the nex word
