Seasonal Customers by Mind Map: Seasonal Customers

1. A seasonal customer is a customer who does not live at their service address year round and can put their services on a hold until they return. A seasonal customer must have their service(s) off for three months and, once reconnected, must keep the services on for 30 days consecutively.

1.1. Important! Seasonal customers must always give an approximate reconnect date. The date can be modified if need be. If the customer refuses a reconnect date, a DI work order would need to be placed and all equipment would need to be returned. When the customer reconnects all charges to install -Tech visit, reconnect fee, etc., will apply!!!

2. What is a Seasonal Customer?

3. SEASONAL WORK ORDERS

3.1. If a seasonal customer is stopping ALL of their services, you will need to place a Seasonal Disconnect, or SD, work order.

3.1.1. These work orders will require a tech to be sent out to the pole to shut down the service. The work order would be scheduled in an ALL DAY time frame and dispatch would place the reconnect work order.

3.2. If a seasonal customer is not stopping all of their service, and keeping a service ACTIVE, then this will be a Downgrade, or UP, work order.

3.2.1. These work orders will be completed office only.

3.2.1.1. This requires that the CCR is responsible for placing the reconnect work order.

3.3. If a seasonal customer has digital phone service, the customer has three options regarding their phone service

3.3.1. They can keep their phone service fully active.

3.3.2. If a customer keeps their phone service active, then the service code may change should they have other services such as cable or internet. This would be an office only work order. The CCR is responsible for placing the reconnect work order.

3.3.3. They can place their phone service on Seasonal Downgrade. The phone service is not active (except for 911) and this ensures the customer will have the same phone number when they reconnect

3.3.3.1. Placing the phone on a Seasonal Downgrade would be an office only work order. This work order generates a phone profile of Seasonal Downgrade and therefore, the Phone Department would place the reconnect work order.

3.3.4. They can disconnect the phone service completely. The customer would lose their phone number and be issued a new number at the time of their reconnection.

3.3.4.1. If a seasonal customer would like to completely disconnect their phone service for the season, but will be keeping another service active, this would be an office only work order. Because this generates a Tele# disconnect profile, the Digital Phone Department would place the reconnect work order.
