1. Reliability

1.1. Test-retest reliability

1.1.1. Test-retest is a method of estimating reliability that is exactly what its name implies. The test is given twice and the correlation between the first set of scores and the second set of scores are determined.

1.2. alternative reliability

1.2.1. alternative are two equivalent forms of a test or test forms that can be used obtain an estimate of the reliability of the test. Both forms are administered to a group of students and the correlation between the two sets of scores are determined.

1.3. Internal reliability

1.3.1. Internal consistency reliability is used when formative assessing has progressed within a specific course determined by the learning outcomes.

2. Validity

2.3. Criterion Validity

2.3.1. Measures scores from a test that are correlated with external criterion

3. Validity is the degree to which evidence support the accuracy of the test

4. Reliability is the consistent results that are produced by measurement

5. Importance of reliability is that is should show a consistency of methods used to measure test or skills.

6. Importance of validity is the accuracy of measurement used to show truth in what is being claimed.
