1. Input Devices
1.1. Keyboard
1.1.1. The primary input device for a computer.
1.1.1.1. Challenge- special needs students might not be able to see or physically use Benefits - Keyboard is set up like a typwriter for ease of use and has hot keys to help with faster navigation
1.2. Mouse
1.2.1. A pointing input device that connects to a computer by wire or wirelessly.
1.2.1.1. challenge- students need to learn to use mouse- click and drag Benefits- mouse can be programed for both right and lefthanded students
2. Output Devices
2.1. Monitor
2.1.1. The primary output device of a computer, displaying computer information on its screen.
2.1.1.1. Challenge- whole class can see one monitor- solution would be the use of a projection device Benefits- monitor can be adjusted for a student to use - height, angle, brightness, ect.
2.2. Speakers
2.2.1. An audio output device to amplify the sound generated by a computer program, a CD, or other sound device.
2.2.1.1. Challenge- speakers can disturb the class if loud -Headphones would help solve problem Benefits- Students can hear spoken words, music, stories.
