1. For a safe home, a nightlight that can be placed onto walls. This will have a LDR to assess light levels and when the levels are very low; this will turn the light on and will help people of all ages.

2. A fire alarm which detects and indicates whether there is any smoke.The warning signals could be a red LED and a buzzer

3. A electronic safe that only opens when you press the correct buttons it will open. The buttons will be push to make buttons and this will be programmed to have a certain password.There will be two fake buttons that will not do anything if you try to use that button.A green light will flash if you input the correct password and a red light will flash and a buzzer will sound every time you get the password wrong.

4. For comfortable sleep, a bedside night light which plays sleep inducing music. This will work with a piezo transducer that plays sleep – inducing music and a colour changing LED light powered by a solar panel.

5. A room thermometer that creates an alarm when there is high temperature or low temperature. A green light could indicate optimal room temperature (20-25 degrees Celsius). A blue light to indicate temperatures below 20 degrees and a red light to indicate temperatures above 25 degrees.

6. An alarm which helps the user who is facing a danger. When you press a push to make button, a very loud alarm sound can be heard and can alert the people around you that you're in some sort of danger and will come to help.

7. A burglar alarm to stop intruders in with a night lamp inbuilt. This will have either a flashing LED warning or a buzzer sounding.
