Input Devices vs Output Devices

1. Devices that tell the computer to look for, load, and run application software.

3. Keyboard
3.1. Benficial in that it isthe main unput devices. Other devices must be used in conjunction with the keyboard
3.2. Challenging in that it must be used in conjuction with a mouse in most cases
4. Puts information into the computer to be processed.
5. Two primary input devices are the keyboard and mouse
6. Soft copy is displayed on the screen and the hard copy is printed out
7. Two primary output devices are the monitor and the printer
8. Moves processed information out of the computer.
9. Monitor
9.1. Beneficial in displaying information on the screen for viewing and manipulating
9.2. Challenging in that must be used in conjuction with a printer in order to get hardcopy.
