Weather & the Four Seasons

1. Understanding each season and how animals/humans survive it
1.1. The students will identify what clothes are appropriate for each season and what animals do during those seasons
1.2. Students will cut out pictures of fall out of their magazines and then put it in a collage "Fall" paper.
2. Learning about clouds and how they help give clues about changing weather
2.1. Students will recognize that different cloud types determine weather conditions.
2.2. Students will then predict the state of weather based on the clouds
2.3. Lastly they will take pictures on their IPads of the clouds and then journal about the weather outside.
3. Understanding the water cycle
3.1. the students will identify the stages in the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, precipitation, ground water, transpiration)
3.2. they will watch a Youtube video over the water cycle and then discuss with a partner what they learned.
4. Learning about solids, liquids, and gases in weather.
4.1. I will display different types of weather on youtube and the students will explain what type of matter it is. Ex: ice is a solid
