1.1. Abx and antacids for treatment of H.Pylori

1.2. H2 or Proton Pump antacids

1.3. Cessation of causative agents

1.4. Lose weight, diet changes.

2. Pathophysiology

2.1. Inflammation of GI mucosa

2.2. Can be from external agent such as H.Pylori or NSAIDS

2.3. Can be autoimmune disorder.

3. Signs and Symptoms

3.1. Chronic

3.1.1. Older patient

3.1.2. Same as acute with addition of anorexia or "fullness"

3.2. Acute

3.2.1. Younger patient

3.2.2. Nausea & Vomiting

3.2.3. Vague ABD Tenderness

3.2.4. Possible Bleed

3.3. Both

3.3.1. Gets worse as patient gets older

4. Diagnosis

4.1. H.Pylori urea breath test

4.2. Chronic usage of NSAIDS, Tobacco, and Alcohol

4.3. Patient report

4.4. History and assessment

4.5. Possible endoscopy
