1. Information Analysis and Interpretation: Its not just about facts. Learners in fact learn to analyze and interpret the acquired information, rather than memorize the correct answer.
2. Principle 2:Learner Management
3. Principle 3: Integrating and connecting
4. Principle 5: Failure and Feedback
5. Principle 4: Information Analysis and Interpretation
6. Introduced by Jerome Bruner
7. It is an inquiry based instruction.
8. This theory encourages learners to use their past experiences, current knowledge, creativity and imagination to learn new ideas, information and truths.
9. 5 Principles in the Discovery Learning Model:
10. Problem Solving: Guiding and motivating learners to seek for solutions by combining existing and newly acquired information and simplifying knowledge.
10.1. Principle 1: Problem Solving
11. Learner Management: Educators should give the students a choice to work alone or in groups for the assignment so they can learn how they work best a
12. Integrating and Connecting: Instructors should encourage and promote students in connecting what they are learning to the real world.
13. Failure and Feedback: this model is not about finding the correct answer, rather it is the skills and different understandings that are being discovered through this learning that is important. At the end the teacher will provide feedback to the students individually to help enhance their learning, give encouragement and the things they did well.
