1. The Legislative Branch
1.1. It is made up of the senate and the congress
1.1.1. Senate and congress- 30 years old, 9 year resident, live in the state that they represent
1.1.1.1. 438 house of reps and 100 senators
1.1.1.1.1. makes all laws, declares war, regulates interstate and foreign commerce and controls taxing and spending policies.
2. The Executive Branch
2.1. Natural born citizen, 35, and 14 years resident
2.1.1. 8 years for both but 4 year terms
2.1.1.1. Being able to veto, or reject, a proposal for a law. Appoint federal posts, such as members of government agencies. Negotiate foreign treaties with other countries. Appoint federal judges. Grant pardons, or forgiveness, for a crime.
2.1.1.1.1. (1) chief of state, (2) chief executive, (3) chief administrator, (4) chief diplomat, (5) commander in chief, (6) chief legislator, (7) party chief, and (8) chief citizen. Chief of state refers to the President as the head of the government. He is the symbol of all the people.
3. The Judicial Branch
3.1. 30 years, 9 years in state, 15 year citizen
3.1.1. President chooses and senate will prove them
