1. Legislative Branch

1.1. Congress is made up of the senate, and the House of Representatives.

1.2. To be a member in the House of Representatives, you must be 25 years old, lived in the United States for 7 years, and inhabited the state they represent. (There are 435 members of the House Of Representative.)

1.3. To be a member of the senate you must be 30 years old, lived in the United States for 9 years, and inhabited the state that you are going to represent. (There are 100 members of the senate.)

1.4. The legislative branch is the only branch that can declare war and can make laws.

1.5. The members of the House of Representatives serve 2 year terms and are up for re-election every 2 years.

1.6. The members of the senate serve 2 year terms and are up for re-election every other year. (

2. Executive Branch

2.1. The president must be 35 years old, and has to be a natural born citizen.

2.2. The Vice President requirements are the same as the presidents.

2.3. The president has a term length of 4 years, and can only serve 2 terms.

2.4. The Vice Presidents is the same 4 years, but has no term limit.

2.5. The powers of the executive branch include; being able to veto a bill, grant pardons, and negotiate foreign treaties.

2.6. Some of the roles of the president are Chief of state, and commander in chief.

2.7. Departments are specific groups put in place to deal with certain problems in the us. We have the departments of state, treasury, defense, justice, interior, agriculture, commerce, labor, health and human services, housing and urban development, transportation, energy, education, veterans affairs, and ho,eland security.

2.8. Article II establishes this branch of government.

3. Judicial Branch

3.1. There are actually no requirements to be in the Supreme Court. As a matter of fact, you don’t even have to have a degree in law.

3.2. Supreme Court judges are appointed by the president and approved by Congress.

3.3. There are currently 9 Supreme Court justices.

3.4. The Chief Justice is the top dog in the Supreme Court.

3.5. Supreme Court judges serve life terms as to not alter their judging.

3.6. The Supreme Courts most known power is judicial review. The ability to declare something unconstitutional.

3.7. Article III establishes this branch of government.
