Terrorism in America

1. Training consisted of normal Ranger routines to day-long runs with heavy loads. For their final test they were to accomplish their missions in Washington D.C. with the FBI trying to capture them.
2. Delta Force was specifically formed for counterterrorism, it is under the U.S. Army.
3. America is a key target for terrorists and has been attacked multiple times. From car bombs to the drastic 9/11. Since they are such a key target for terrorists it has caused them to form many counterterrorism units. Before America was a country colonists used terrorist methods to get freedom. And the imfamous KKK made their home in the South of the U.S.
4. 9/11
4.1. 9/11 happened on September 11, 2001. When a terrorist group by the name of al-Qaeda hijacked planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
4.2. 2,763 died in NYC, 378 died from the Pentagon, and 44 died from United 93. Over 3,000 civilians, terrorists, and government rescue teams died in total.
4.3. After the 9/11 attacks America responded by launching forces into the Middle East area. The troops have helped uproot the terrorist organizations.
5. Ku Klux Klan
5.1. The Ku Klux Klan is a group of white supremicists that where mainly located in the South of the United States. Their organization peaked after the Civil War, when African-Americans were freed. They mainly targeted African-Americans, but they also terrorized whites that did not have the same religious views as them.
5.2. The most amount of members in the KKK was between 3 million and 6 million. They burned their victims on crosses or they were lynched.
5.3. They wore white pointed hoods and long white robes to hide their identity. It also gave them an air of mystery and help them stay fearless.

8. Most of the recruits come from the Special Forces Groups and the Army Rangers. They our allowed normal hair styles and to wear civilian clothing on the job so that they blend in well.
9. Terrorism is the use of violence to strike fear into the public.

11. How it affects society
11.1. It creates a constant fear in our society.
11.2. Shrinks the confidence of countries governments.
11.3. A huge stereotype of all Muslims or middle-easterns because of their countries being inhabited by terrorists and the terrorists being Muslims.
