1. Air Pollution

1.1. Air pollution is a mix of particles and gases that can reach harmful concentrations. Its effects can range from higher disease risks to rising temperatures around the world. I feel very strongly that Chinese manufacturing facilities cause the most air pollution because of the tall stalks on the factories. Also because they have the largest population and burning lots of fossil fuels china has become a massive problem for air pollution.

2. Plastic Pollution

2.1. Plastic pollution is the accumulation of plastic objects and particles in the Earth's environment that adversely affects wildlife, wildlife habitat, and humans. Plastics that act as pollutants are categorized into micro-, meso-, or macro debris, based on size. China contributes the most to plastic pollution, because of all the manufacturing that happens there.

2.2. Many Chinese manufacturers would argue that this is not true, because they do not want to lose business at their manufacturing facilities.

3. Ocean Pollution

3.1. 80% of ocean pollution comes from land.

3.2. Big contributors to polluting the oceans are pesticides, fertilizers, and plastic waste.

3.2.1. Plastic waste is completely destroying the ocean, from the great pacific garbage patch. The countries throwing the most garbage out are Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

4. Climate Change

4.1. Climate change occurs when changes in Earth's climate system result in new weather patterns that remain in place for an extended period of time. This length of time can be as short as a few decades to as long as millions of years.

4.2. Big contributors to climate change are greenhouse gases, and Co2 emissions which are created by burning fossil fuels.

5. Ozone Layer

5.1. Ozone depletion, gradual thinning of Earth's ozone layer in the upper atmosphere caused by the release of chemical compounds containing gaseous chlorine or bromine from industry and other human activities. The thinning is most pronounced in the polar regions, especially over Antarctica.

5.2. The ozone layer is a thin part of the Earth's atmosphere that absorbs almost all of the sun's harmful ultraviolet light. "Ozone holes" are popular names for areas of damage to the ozone layer
