FMP: creating an album

1. Mixing/recording

1.1. I will mix and record this myself using different techniques and mics i have researched

1.2. Shure sm57, SE5 microphones in xy configuration etc

1.3. Minimum of 5 songs

2. distribution

2.1. Ditto music does the best price at £19 per year for unlimited amounts of music

2.2. It requires three weeks prior notice

3. reflective journal

3.1. I will keep track of my progress and any problems I came across for every day/week

4. Evaluation

4.1. At the end of the project I will use feedback from my surveys, polls, and streaming data and comparing this to my own target for this project and seeing if I have achieved this and looking at what could have been improved.

6. artwork/promotion

6.1. I will work with a photographer outside of college who lives near me and takes the photography course at college.

6.2. I will promote myself through social media such as Instagram to gain a following by posting images and clips regularly

7.1. Tutorials on recording showing what mics and techniques to use.

7.2. Articles for things like how to promote your music

7.3. I will conduct primary research like interviews with artists and bands that have also produced an album and ask about the process of recording it and how they promoted themselves.

7.4. I will do surveys and online polls to gather feedback and to see what people think of certain types of music.
