1. Internal Consistency

1.1. Split-half method - each item is assigned to one half or the other, then the total score for each student on each half is determined and a correlation between the two total scores is made.

1.2. Kruder-RIchardson methods - measure the extent to which items within one form of the test have as much in common with one another as do the items in that one form with corresponding items in an equivalent form.

2. Test-Retest or Stability - allows the instructor to compare a test against itself to find a correlation

3. Alternate Forms or Equivalence - compares two equivalent forms of a test to find a correlation. If there is a problem with the versions, an unreliable test may be found.
