1. Religious Control

1.1. Over the past years under the control of Xi, as government has increased restrictions on the Tibetan faith. While Buddhism is allowed in China, the Dalai Lama is banned. This is due to the Chinese trying have control over the Dalai Lama’s future reincarnation.

1.2. 22 Million Muslims live in China and about half consider themselves as Turkish Uighurs. The rise Uighur persecution has raised tremendously. Millions have been detained. Uighur mosques and have been banned and destroyed in China. DNA tests have been implemented to control the population. This response it said to be crackdown on a separatist movement.

1.3. Another religious practice that has been controlled and banned in china in the Falun Gang, exercise combined with moral and spiritual practice. China has banned this practice after a gathering of practicer in 1999. Thousands are arrested and executed. Chinese government says this ban is due to this practice being a dangerous cult.

2. Internet Censorship

2.1. Xi has worked to control the content on the internet. He controls the information on/put on the internet. He has worked to out source private content. Only party approved content in allowed.

2.2. Popular social media sites are censored such as; Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

3. Anti-Corruption Campaign

3.1. This campaign as based on stopping corruption steamed bureaucrats had grown rich through corrupt practices. One event, in 2012, came from Bo Xilai a princeling. This was a major scandal that caused had political repercussions.

3.1.1. One aspect of Xi's corruption campaign involved cracking down on "tiger and flies", high and low level officials abusing their status.

3.1.2. Xi has also worked to control the military. He has replaced 60 generals with the goal of having Party must be absolute leaders of the PLA show absolute loyalty to the Party.

4. Who is Xi Jinping?

4.1. Past: Xi was born in a poor region of China to two parents active in the party. During the Cultural Revolution, Xi and his family was send to the countryside as workers. From an early age, Xi became involved in the communist party and rose quickly in ranks.

4.2. Xi has been the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China since 2012. His rule is very conservative and similar to the ruling of Mao.
