1. Wet Hands With Water

1.1. Turn on sink faucet

1.2. Test water temperature to make sure it is not too hot.

1.3. Place both hands under running water until they are completely wet

1.4. Turn off sink faucet

2. Put soap onto one hand, make sure you get enough to cover all of the skin on both of your hands with lather.

2.1. For automatic soap dispenser: place hand under dispenser and wait for soap to go onto hand.

2.2. For soap bottle with pump: place on hand under pump and press down on pump with the other hand.

2.3. For bar of soap: rub bar of soap in hands until there is enough lather to cover entire hands.

3. Rub hands together to lather soap - do every step for 2-3 seconds each.

3.1. Rub hands together: palm to palm

3.2. Rub hands together: right palm over back of left hand

3.3. Rub hands together: left palm over back of right hand

3.4. Rub hands together: palm to palm with interlaced fingers

3.5. Rub hands together: backs of fingers to opposing palms with interlocked fingers

3.6. Rub hands together: grab left thumb with right hand and rotate right hand

3.7. Rub hands together: grab right thumb with left hand and rotate left hand

3.8. Rub hands together: scrub left palm with fingertips of right hand

3.9. Rub hands together: scrub right palm with fingertips of left hand

4. Rinse hands with water

4.1. Turn on sink faucet

4.2. Test water temperature to make sure it is not too hot.

4.3. Place both hands under running water until all soap is removed

5. Dry hands with clean paper towel

5.1. Grab paper towel from receptacle

5.2. Use towel to dry hands completely

5.2.1. Use another towel if one is not enough

6. Use paper towel to turn off sink faucet

7. Use paper towel to exit bathroom

7.1. Grab and turn any necessary doorknob with the paper towel instead of your bare hand.

7.2. After exiting, place paper towel into a trash can.

8. ENJOY CLEAN HANDS
