2. Keeping a classroom clean

2.1. Having a classroom that is clean allows for a fresh environment

2.2. This includes not only students desks, but the teachers desk as well

3. Student art work around the classroom

3.1. It also adds color and decoration to the classroom

3.2. Putting student work around the classroom and hall shows appreciation for their hard work

4. Student voice in the classroom

4.1. Student voices should be constantly heard in the classroom

4.2. Students should be able to share how they are feeling and their opinions should be known and used for future work

5. Presence of a caring adult

5.1. Having a caring adult will help the students in the class feel comfortable in the classroom

5.2. We need to learn about our students, their interests and who they are as people

6. Have a safe space for students to go to in the class when they need space

6.1. Specific place in the classroom where a student can go when they need time

6.2. Having couches, and carpets in the room

6.3. A space at a desk that is covered so that the student can have alone time

7. Communication in the classroom

7.1. Doing constant check-ins with students to ensure that they are okay, and if not communicating to help

7.2. Completing work that allows students to communicate and share with each other

7.3. Allowing students to feel comfortable in the classroom means communicating as a class

7.4. Finding new ways to get to know students, as well as for students to learn about each other and you as the teacher

8. Communication with parents

8.1. Inviting parents and family members to visit classrooms

8.2. Having a strong communication with them, "good morning", "good afternoon", "Jimmy did well today"
