1. The food system has been defined and depicted in many different ways. Various aspects:
2. Food Production in an aspect of Food System, Food production, consumption and distribution.
3. Control of pollution of air, water, land and soil.
4. Food is a priority area in the environmental sustainability vision for 2030 with sustainable sourcing, efficient resource in the food chain, sustainable consumption and food waste.
5. The European S.C.P. round table promotes a scientific approach to sustainable food consumption and production across Europe, while talking into account environmental interacions at all stages of the food chain.
6. The European S.C.P. is an initiative that is co-chaired by the Europeans Commission and food chain suppliers and is supported by the UN Environment Programme and European Environment Agency.
7. Biodiversity and climate are all part of the Food System and must be used as properly and efficiently as possible.
