There are stages in the development of future thinking in humans, already In age 6 weeks of humans, expectations appear on the basis of experience, in 12 month, babies can recognize patterns and predict the probable event that will follow, in 2 years, babies can for expectations based on the experience of others, then from 5 years have future orientation (planning &c)

Where & how does future thinking occur in the brain?

Biochemical processes generate simulations, Reenactment of motoric experience, 2 stages, experience is 1st moved to long term memories, to neurons close to the neurons processing the experience, then part of the experience is reenacted to create simulations, invoke the neurons to reexperience, Introspective experience

Occurs in the amygdale

Libet showed the famous results that the brain knows the decision (eg, motoric) before we're aware of making the decision, Prof Itzhak Fried showed it taked 0.5sec before the decisions are made in neuron level, till we're aware of the decision

Psychotronics, controling decisions using magnetic interference, subjects will still be convinced that they made the decision on their free will

Types of future thinking, Incognito, we think we have a gut feeling, but it's something that the brain processed for a long time, in the background, 99.9% of decisions, Cognito, the cognitive & meta-cognitive ways to make decisions, psychological, sociological, Forecognito, future think, tell a story of alternative possible futures, in growing time ranges, some people are better while others can't, rational people, eg scientists, are usua less capable
