Who is Jesus

Plan your life and the next important steps and goals to proceed with a happy life.

"the Word was God" (Jn. 1:1)

Jesus is God so He is the Word. Jesus came to earth to preach the Word of God which turned into the New Testament in the Bible. Jesus was God in the flesh.

"The light of all mankind" (Jn. 1:4)

Jesus is the light in the darkness. He is the good in a world full of sin. He saved us. He always shines through and is always there.

"the Lamb of God" (Jn. 1:29)

Jesus is God's sacrifice just like Isaiah was going to be Abraham's sacrifice to God. God's sacrifice saved us from sin.

"Rabbi" (Jn. 1:37)

Means "teacher." He is the teacher of God to Jews and His disciples. He did this while being their friend.

"God's Chosen One" (Jn. 1:34)

God choose Jesus, His own son, to come to earth to be the savior of the world.

"The Messiah" (Jn. 1:41)

Hebrew for "the annointed one" or "the anticipated savior."

"Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph" (Jn. 1:44)

This quote is talking about Jesus on earth as a human like the rest of us. He was from Nazareth and was the Son of Joseph; a carpenter.

"The Son of Man" (Jn. 3:13)

He is both the son of Mary and Joseph in his Human part but also the Son of God at the same time.

"The Savior of the World" (Jn. 4:42)

Jesus was sent down from Heaven by God the Father to save us from sin through His Death and Resurrection.

"I am the bread of life" (Jn. 6:35)

In life we need bread (food) to survive. We need Jesus in our lives to have eternal life. That is why we eat the Eucharist during Mass.

"The Spirit and the life" (Jn. 6:63)

This refers to the Holy Trinity. Jesus is the life, He is what gave us the chance to go to Heaven. He is also the Spirit because the Holy Trinity means three persons in one being. Jesus is both God and the Spirit as well as himself on earth.

"The Holy One of God" (Jn. 6:69)

"He is a good man" (Jn. 7:12)

Jesus was a good man. He performed miracles to save peoples lives, He never did anything to intentionally hurt anyone.

"King of the Jews" (Jn. 19:19)

This was written on Jesus cross during His crucifixion. He is the King as He is God's Son. Since the Jews are God's people, He is their leader and King but they had to have faith to believe in Him.

"I am the good Shepherd" (Jn. 10:14)

Jesus took care of God's people, He gave up His life for them.

"Father is in me, and I in the Father" (Jn. 10:38)

This refers to Jesus being God. Along with the Holy Trinity, they are all within each other.
