1.1. Decrease the number of people getting pregnant and babies being born

1.1.1. Because COVID-19 can be deadly for a baby to get, nobody wants to bring a baby into this world at the moment

1.2. Increase the death toll for this year by a large margin

1.2.1. Because COVID-19 is killing a lot of people, this will increase the death toll for this year

1.3. Increase the population of animals that humans go hunting for

1.3.1. Because nobody is hunting right now, animal populations, especially like deer whose population increases at a really fast rate, will increase by a lot

2. Religious

2.1. Cancellation of worship services of various faiths

2.2. Closure of Sunday schools

2.3. Caused many churches, mosques, and temples to offer services via live stream

3. Educational

3.1. Caused the sudden change to online learning

3.1.1. It's not safe to be in large groups like schools so students have had to learn online from home

3.2. Have to supply students with materials (costly)

3.2.1. School boards (not private schools like SAC) have had to supply students with laptops and even WiFi for less fortunate students

3.3. All end of year exams, AP exams , or SAT exams have either been moved online or cancelled

3.4. Little to no face to face interaction with teachers

3.4.1. This makes it a lot harder and more of a hassle for students to ask questions to their teacher. This is especially bad for students who struggle in school

4. Supply Shortages

4.1. Cleaning supplies (hand sanitizer, soap, Lysol wipes, etc.) and toilet paper are at a very high demand right now

4.1.1. Due to people being selfish, people are buying out entire stores stocks of these products just for themselves

4.2. Laptops are in high demand at the moment

4.2.1. Due to all schools and most workplaces switching to online work/learning, more and more people need laptops

4.3. May start to see a food shortage in grocery stores

4.3.1. Due to people buying large amounts of food at a time so they don't have to go out as often, farmers can't grow food or get food from animals fast enough, which could cause a food shortage

7.1. Long term

7.1.1. Causing some companies to go bankrupt and be forced to shut down

7.1.1.1. Because companies still have to pay things like rent, employee salary, etc. and are not making any actual money, this is causing them to go bankrupt and shut down

7.1.2. Due to the travel ban for non-essential travels, many airline companies in the United States are struggling for money

7.1.2.1. The long term part of this problem is even when the travel ban is taken away, not many people are going to want to travel for a while as they may not feel safe

7.2. Short Term

7.2.1. Causing people to become unemployed

7.2.1.1. As companies are still responsible for paying employee wages, many do not want to do so so they are laying off all their employees so they don't have to pay them, but leaving them without a job

7.2.2. Has caused most restaurants to only offer take out service and not actually sit down and dine in the place service

7.2.2.1. To ensure social distancing and discourage people from going out, restaurants are only allowed to offer takeout service

8. Health Care System

8.1. Causing overcrowding in hospitals

8.1.1. Due to all the people in need of medical attention, hospitals are becoming more and more crowded. Especially in small town hospitals

8.2. Overwhelming healthcare workers

8.2.1. Because hospitals are filling up by the minute, healthcare workers are becoming overwhelmed at the amount of people in need of medical treatment

8.3. Making things a lot more rushed in hospitals and with the healthcare system

8.3.1. Medical workers are trying to find a vaccine to cure COVID-19 and they are trying as fast as they can. This may mean that they are rushing to find it faster so they can help people

9. Social

9.1. Causing people to get depression

9.1.1. Not being able to live a normal, free life can give many people depression

9.2. May increase cyber bullying

9.2.1. Due to more specifically kids being online more, this may increase the amount of online bullying

9.3. Increase the levels of domestic violence in some people's lives

9.3.1. If someone can't leave their house and someone in their house is mentally or physically abusing them, they will endure the abuse even more as they will be around that person even more.

10. New Society 'Norms'

10.1. May implement social distancing rules for a much longer time

10.1.1. Even after this pandemic is over, social distancing may still be implemented for a long time to prevent a second wave from hitting

10.2. May put a smaller number limit on big gatherings such as pro sports games, weddings, etc.

10.2.1. To avoid having large amounts of people in small areas to insure that if someone is infected, they don't spread it around to a whole bunch of people

10.3. Increase rules surrounding personal hygiene in public

10.3.1. Hand sanitizer stations in all stores, someone with gloves on opening doors for people, no touching things like phones in the apple store etc.

10.4. May start to implement online/zoom meetings for workplaces and business's

10.4.1. To avoid having a certain number of people in a small meeting room all arms length away from each other

11. Positives That May Emerge

11.1. Massive drop in pollution levels

11.1.1. This is due to way less cars, boats, planes etc. being used

11.2. Time to reconnect with family members

11.2.1. Due to spending so much time at home with our family members

11.3. Have some time to relax

11.3.1. Because everything is either closed or cancelled, this frees up our schedules therefore giving us more time to relax

11.4. Wildlife has been benefiting

11.4.1. Due to less global warming and deforestation, all wildlife have been living their best lives in a long time

11.5. Made us humans more appreciative for the lives we get to live on a daily basis

11.5.1. After the pandemic is over, we won't take what we have for granted anymore

12. May cause many people to become mentally unstable
