3. Population Dynamics

3.1. The likelihood of getting infected by Covid-19 is greater when you are over the age of 60.

3.2. Therefore the virus may spread quicker in areas where their is more elderly. Such as places with multiple nursing homes.

3.3. Also may spread quicker in places with high population concentration but less land.

4.1. Health Care

4.1.1. N95 Masks shortage due to rapid demand. Canada has apparently accepted deals that included counterfeit masks from China.

4.1.2. Hand Sanitizer has gone scarce because of the hoarding. It makes it near impossible to find in any stores.

4.1.3. Since medical gloves are a one time use product their demand has increased exponentially.

4.1.4. Toilet paper sales have surged over the past months. Personally I do not understand the hype of toilet paper but horading has made it tough for people to have access to such a common product.

4.2.1. You may realize your favorite bag of chips is out of stock recently.

4.2.2. Canada fears food shortages in the long term because the boarders are shut down.

5. Positives That May Emerge

5.1. Environment

5.1.1. Decrease in pollution

5.1.2. Reports of Niagra falls water "Clearer than ever".

5.1.3. Due to production being halted less carbon emissions are going into the air therefore giving our earth a break.

5.2. Government

5.2.1. Strengthening key global organizations.

5.2.2. Public figures coming together to help society.

5.3. Community

5.3.1. Family bonding.

5.3.2. Charities funded to help families during this tough time.

5.3.3. Remembering the little things that matter on a day to day basis and being thankful for it.

6. Economic

6.1. Long term

6.1.1. Businesses shutting down. (21 Nandos locations have been closed).

6.1.2. A recession may occur due to the amount of money given out and lack of money coming in.

6.1.3. Recent stock market gains may lead to a brutal crash as well.

6.2. Short term

6.2.1. Abrupt decrease in gas prices.

6.2.2. Real estate will halt.

6.2.3. Delivery services will be exponentially delayed.

6.2.4. Increase of job loss, in March 1 million people lost their jobs.

7. Health Care System

7.1. Front Line workers

7.1.1. Exponential increase in working hours

7.1.2. In Canada all essential workers have received a pay raise.

7.1.3. Mental health and own health is at risk.

7.2. Supplies

7.2.1. There has been a massive demand for ventilators as it is life and death for many patients.

7.2.2. Many front line workers wear the same mask for up to 16 hours.

7.2.3. Canada is confident that if Corona takes a turn for the worse they will not be short of supplies.

7.2.4. The Health Care System seems strong and capable of keeping Canadians safe health officials tell us.

8. Social

8.1. Self Isolation

8.1.1. Due to the fact it takes a long time to identify someone with Covid-19. Isolation is necessary.

8.1.2. Takes tolls on mental health because you are stuck at home.

8.1.3. Unhealthy sleeping patterns and eating patterns.

8.2. Events

8.2.1. Sporting events such as the NBA playoffs and Champions League finals as well as many anticipated Boxing events.

8.2.2. CNE has been cancelled, Wonderland closed down and the LGTBQ parade has all been cancelled this year.

9. New Society 'Norms'

9.1. Greetings

9.1.1. Shaking hands has turned into a simple waves foot taps or elbow taps.

9.1.2. Zoom and face time calls are the new way to talk to one another.

9.2. Quarantine

9.2.1. Inviting firends and talking on the driveway from a distance.

9.2.2. Dropping treats and snacks off to lift up spirits.
