1. COMMON CALENDAR
1.1. Anastasia GREECE: we worked in mixed teams and as schools for that activity. I like creating our own calendar.
1.2. Melih-Ayça Teacher Creating the common calendar activity was very enjoyable and educative. I wrote about water pollution.
1.3. Enes Arda-(Teacher Suzan) I learnt that thermal pollution is the deterioration of the quality of the water by any operation that changes the temperature of the environmental water. During the project I felt responsible for my environment. This is our WORLD !
2. EARTH DAY
2.1. Köksal AynurTeacher: Because of covid-19, we did this task via online meeting, zoom. We used Earth Day: The Official Site | Earth Day Network website to celebrate that day. It was a meaningful experience for all of us.
2.2. Ilaria - Giovanna teacher: On April 22 we joined The Earth Day, the green event that involves people all around the world. This event was a great opportunity to celebrate the Earth and its beauty. Thanks to the interaction with partners I became aware of the responsibility to protect the planet. My team and I supported the Italian event “Abbracciamola ” by Legambiente taking pictures while embracing a world map and spreading them. I'm glad to be an active participant in the protection of our planet.
3. EARTH HOUR DAY
3.1. I LİKE ENVIRONMENT MERVE
3.2. Kardelen-BirsenTeacher : We made posters about climate change and pollution by web.2 tools. We have prepared a slogan about pollution.
3.3. Katerina GREECE:We created infographics for that activity and it was educational for me. I haven't heard earth hour day before. I learnt thanks to this project.
4. CLIMATE DICTIONARY
4.1. Esra-BirsenTeacher:We made about climate change by using web2 tools.Also we did online meeting with other project partners.This was the most meaningful project I've ever in and a great experience for all of us.
4.2. Tomris AynurTeaher: Before creating the climate dictionary, we searched for the words about climate change. I first heard concept learning with this activity.
5. CHARTMAKER
5.1. Raffaella-Giovanna teacher: We searched for the climate change data in Aversa,Italy on climatecharts.net. We focused on the distribution of temperature and precipitation from 1960 to 2016. From the data collected we saw that from 1960 to 2016 the main temperature increased progressively and precipitation decreased strongly. The effects of climate change on Aversa,the area where we live, are evident and we must act for the future.
5.2. Mariana (Elsa Fernandes) - checking information on graphs is very useful. This is something we usually do in some clsses like Geography but now we had to read information in English. It is very good for our language skills and to know more about climate change.
5.3. Bahar-Ayça Teacher My friends and I made research and learned about our city's climate data. It was a good activity.
6. ACTIONCAT STORY
6.1. Anisa-BirsenTeacher. We used our imagination and created the story "ActionCat". It revolves around a character called "ActionCat" who deals with natural disasters in order to find letters. The letters that will save the world: Be A Breath. Struggling with disasters, in the end ActionCat succesfully collects all of the letters and achieves its goal. When readin the story, it teaches about natural disasters such as avalanche, flood and many more.
6.2. Mariarosaria-Giovanna teacher:Writing a chapter in the Actioncat story was challenging but funny. We had to write how the Actioncat dealt with a flood and we tried to use our imagination as much as possible. It was interesting reading the other chapters because we learned a lot about natural disasters and how to use the new webtool "Ourboox".
6.3. Meryem-Teacher Gözde:I love this task very much because I like stories.In this task, we wrote a part of the story of Actioncat and this was really incredible experience for me.
7. WORLD ENVIRONMNENT DAY
7.1. Alisa GREECE: we wrote our slogans about climate change for World Environment Day. It was great to celebrate it.
7.2. Emirhan-Ayça Teacher I wrote my slogan about climate and environment. We celebrated World Environment Day. It was great.
8. SUGGESTION BOOKLET
8.1. Nurirem-TeacherSuzan: We gave suggestions about what we can do to prevent climate change. While doing that I did a little bit of a research to come clear about what I was going to write about. I was a bit worried because I wanted to write things that won't be hard to do but affective to the climate change. After I finished my task I looked at other students' ideas and it made me realize that there are many easy things that we can do to save our world. I hope that this task helped others to gain awareness about climate change.
8.2. Anisa-BirsenTeacher . We discussed about our world and what should we do in order to prevent it from getting destroyed. We also brought a few new ideas about how to avoid climate change. At the end of the meeting I believe all of us leaved there with more information in our hand about what should we do.
9. INFOGRAPHIC
9.1. İrem-Teacher Gözde:In this task ,we created an infographics about environment and the importance of protecting it.Canva is a web 2 tool ,we used it and it is a great tool.
9.2. Gülşah AynurTeacher: We did this task with my peers. It was a great experience for me. We used Canva web 2.0 tool for this.
10. AGREEMENTS
10.1. Ayhan (Nida Demir) we like these agreements to sign
10.2. Margarida (Elsa Fernandes) - The agreements made us think about our role in environemnt protection. Small steps can make a difference!
10.3. İrem-Gözde Teacher: we signed these agreements about protecting environment and it was good experience for me.
10.4. Yüksel AynurTeacher: My teacher Aynur gave us this agreement about our project and climate change and we signed it. I like the articles in the agreement. They are all about climate change and our future.
11. OUR CITIES
11.1. İrem-Teacher Gözde:After searching about our cities, we shared the information on Forum pages in this task.For example,I wrote about my city's climate and vegetation and also I learned about our cities.
11.2. We learned about our cities. We gave information about the climate and weather. Also we showed graphs about climate and weather.
11.3. Elpida GREECE: With this activity, I learnt a lot about our country and city. I wrote what I found after searching for it on forum.
12. VEGETABLES / FRUIT LANGUAGE
12.1. Beyzanur-(Teacher Suzan):In this task,we created leteers with fruits and vegetables.We wrote the name of our project, "Be A Breath". I created the letter "T" using onions.It wasn't hard.Ihope we breathe for everyone and save our planet by raising people awareness.
12.2. Daniela (Elsa Fernandes) I liked to prepare the letter "B" with vegetables. This activity makes us think about how important it is to have healthy eating habits. If we have gardens, we can grow our food without chemicals. This is good for the environment and for our health.
12.3. Meryem-Teacher Gözde:I prepared my letter using oranges.It was really nice and different activity.Everybody has a letter to create and we have to use vegetables or fruits.
13. Floriana - Giovanna teacher: I really enjoyed doing the infographic with my classmates: we learnt how to use a new tool (Canva), we looked up online for pictures and put them together doing our best.
