3.1. HEI- human- environment interaction. How people and the environment affect one another.
4. The world in Spatial terms
4.1. Absolute
4.1.1. an exact point on earth.
4.2. relative
4.2.1. uses a reference point to identify one place in relation to another.
5. Places and Regions
5.1. formal region
5.1.1. the region is defined and has set boundaries, characteristics of this region are the same through out the space, these can be common physical or cultural characteristics.
5.2. functional region
5.2.1. incorporates a central hub(node) and a surrounding area that is connected to the central hub.
5.3. perceptual region
5.3.1. Defined by peoples attitude or feeling about an area based on their own perception.
