1. Serfs

1.1. environment

1.1.1. Could not leave the manor. Lived in small cottages surrounding the manor with many other serfs.

1.2. Rights

1.2.1. Serfs had very few rights. They were not allowed to leave the manor at which they were born. They were born into their role as a serf.

1.3. Responsibilities

1.3.1. Serfs had to do tasks around the manor. They had tend to the animals, grow and harvest the crops and maintain the manor. They had to give up a portion of their grain as tax to the lord.

2. Nobles

2.1. environment

2.1.1. Nobles lived respectively lavish lives. They were otherwise known as lords. They lived in manors and had people who would do their bidding. They only answered to the King and the Clergy.

2.2. Rights

2.2.1. Nobles had the right to do just about anything short of attacking the King. Within their fief they had total control. They could attack other lords or change the tax rate as they pleased.

2.3. Responsibilities

2.3.1. A Nobleman's responsibility was to uphold the agreement made between himself and the King. To provide military services to the King if need be.

3. Clergies

3.1. environment

3.1.1. The Clergy are the priests and bishops. Therefore, they spent their time in the church with lavish clothing. They were treated with high respect.

3.2. Rights

3.2.1. The clergy had enough power to be able to do almost anything save attack the king or do anything against their religion.

3.3. Responsibilities

3.3.1. The Clergy's responsibility was to pray for those at war and for those at home. They provided church services for their town.

4. Peasants

4.1. environment

4.1.1. Peasants live and work on Nobles' land and, while they are legally allowed to leave the plot of land normally don't as their entire lives are there. If they choose to "travel" they would only go about 25 miles outside of the land.

4.2. Rights

4.2.1. Peasants, like serfs don't really have any rights. They are provided with shelter and military protection from the nobles and they are able to make their own food on the nobles' land (must pay tax for this). Also can get married but only with the kings permission.

4.3. Responsibilities

4.3.1. Peasants much like serfs, had to do tasks around the manor. They had tend to the animals, grow and harvest the crops and maintain the manor. They had to give up a portion of their grain as tax to the lord.

5. Knight

5.1. Environment

5.1.1. A Knight's environment and daily life revolves around warfare. When they weren't participating in ongoing conquests, they spent their time practicing with their sword.

5.2. Rights

5.2.1. In feudalism, the king owned all of the land. The king granted fiefs (portions of land) to nobles (lords or barons) in return for loyalty, protection and service. ... In return, the lord provided the knight with lodging, food, armour, weapons, horses and money.

5.3. Reponsibilities

5.3.1. A Knight's responsibilties were to serve his three masters: His earthly Lord, the Heavenly Lord, and his lady. This upheld the code of Chivalry that had been produced.

6. King (monarch)

6.1. environment

6.1.1. Kings normally live in palaces or castles and are waited upon by all the servants maids and chefs. Kings live lavish and luxury lives but the large palaces may become lonely

6.2. Rights

6.2.1. As king or any sort of monarch, they are allowed to do whatever they want. They are the ruler of the kingdom and often times kings tried to do their best to keep their kingdom strong, safe and happy (not always though)

6.3. Reponsibilites

6.3.1. The king must keep their kingdom safe and must uphold their deals to the nobles (king gives land, noble give military service). They must follow the law and the religion.
