1. CLIMATE: The climate of the Pampa is subtropical cold with the four seasons well defined (temperature 19 degrees)

2. AREA: The total area is 27,000 km2, where 326,000 people live and 2.1 million cattle live. In it, there are 147 farms initially eligible.

3. ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES: The economic activities carried out in the Pampa region, i.e. agriculture and livestock,are the main responsible for deforestation and degradation of this biome. The result is the disappearance of native species,as well as the invasion of species that lead to the desiquibrium of the ecosystem. Pampa is the only Brazilian Biome where there is a possibility of developing agricultural activity without degradation of nature.

4. The Pampa is one of the most important temperate field areas on the planet. The camps have an important contribution to carbon sequestration and in the control of erosion, besides being a source of genetic variability for several species that are at the base of our food chain.Its vegetation is marked by the presence of grasses, undergrowth, shrubs and small trees. Among all biomes that are protected by Brazil, Pampa is the one that has the least visibility among all of them (0.4% of all biomes).

5. FAUNA: The fauna of the Pampa biome is very rich and diverse, characterized by a wide variety of birds, mammals, arthropods, reptiles and amphibians. Examples: jaguar, ocelot, mono-carvoei, capuchin monkey, guariba, golden lion tamarin, sagui, collared sloth, caxinguelê, anteater, jacu, macuco, jacutinga and ema.
