Electricity and magnetism by Mind Map: Electricity and magnetism

1. Circuits with buzzers

1.1. A buzzer buzzes (creates a sound like a doorbell). A buzzer needs 3V.

2. Mains Electricity

2.1. It is powerful. We use it in toasters, computers, iron, hair dryer.

2.1.1. We should not mix electricity and water.

3. Magnets in everyday life

3.1. We have different magnets, such as horseshoe magnet, ring magnet, disc magnet, a bar magnet, and the wand magnet.

3.1.1. MAGNETS (horseshoe) X MAGNETIC ( Paper clip, coin, magnetic board)

3.1.2. Magnetic objects and non-magnetic objects

4. Electricity flows in circuits

4.1. We should connect the positive terminal from a cell with the negative terminal of the other cell.

5. Components and simple circuits

5.1. Components: cell, bulb, bulb holder, cell holder, wire, switch, and buzzer

5.2. Simple circuit: bulb (and bulb holder), wires, cells (cell holder)

6. Circuits with more components

6.1. If I add 2 or more bulbs in a simple circuit, the bulbs would shine less brightly.

6.1.1. If I add more cells, the bulbs would shine more brightly

7. Switches

7.1. Switches break the circuit.

7.2. Switches turn on lights, buzzers, motors. Switches turn on and off circuits.
