1. The treatment of errors, in general, seeks to correct those related to the rules of the linguistic system in the language under study.
2. These skills are listening (listening comprehension), speaking (speaking), reading (reading comprehension), and writing (written expression).
3. Transfer errors, error handling, error analysis, learner corpus.
4. In the context of first language acquisition, the four skills are most often acquired in the order of listening first, then speaking, then possibly reading and writing.
