1. Annette Thomas Brown-Week 1 In the journal reading entitled " Multimedia Technologies and Familiar Spaces: 21st-Century Teaching for 21st-Century Learners," as Preservice Teachers, we need to not only be concerned with our Performance as Teachers but we must be ready to meet challenges of our learners and allow them to be owners of their learning which will also later aid us in our reflection of ourselves as well as the students as we help them prepare for the future

2. Tara Koepsell (Minguez) Week 2: According to Ivers and Barron (2010), "it is crucial to emphasize the importance of the DESIGN phase to students [as] this phase should represent approximately 50 percent of the total time committed to the project" (p. 29). Furthermore, utilizing time sufficiently eliminates wasting valuable time during production, or the DEVELOP stage, of a project (p. 29).
3. Constructivism allows students to develop theirown meaning through investigation andexploration. Through engaging activities andinteractive assignments students learn on theirown at their own pace. Students can learnindependently, together, or from others.
4. There are a variety of multimedia and technologies out today. The development of new multimedia and technologies is still growing and expanding and will continue to do so. As teachers we need to be uptodate with the latest form of multimedia and technologies. Teachers have to learn these multimedia and technologies in order for them to incorporate them into their classroom/lessons. There are software progams, PowerPoint, blogging, podcasting, digital videos, creating webpages, calculators, Elmos, Smartboards, projectors, JING, and many more.
4.1. With the development of new technology we also need to be aware of copyright laws as discussed in week 3. As teachers we need to keep ourselves informed of what we can an cannot use and need to be able to inform our students on where to look for information that they can use for school projects.
5. Lisa Marie Festa's Week 1: We now live in a digital world. Teachers now have to engage students through what interests them through multimedia/technology because that is this generation. Technology/multimedia should be used to promote and develop skills: critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, innovation, and global literacy. Technology/multimedia projects should be geared towards students to show understanding and knowledge of content area/concepts learned (this can be used as an assessment of student progress and learning).
5.1. All students learn differently and have a variety of strengths and weaknesses. As a teacher you have to target all students learning styles by using differentiated instruction. You have to gear activities to each students strengths, but also improve their weaknesses.
5.2. Tara Koepsell (Minguez) Week 2: It is important to remember that "technology itself is not a goal for instruction but rather a tool to help [teachers] accomplish that goal" (McKenzie, 2002).
6. Lauren Quigley Week 1: In order for teachers to effectively reach their students, they are required to keep current on educational trends and childhood development. The advent of the internet has ushered in a digital revolution that has transformed our world. As children grow ever dependent on/familiar with technology, we as educators must use this powerful tool to remain relavent to students and thus engage them in the learning process.
6.1. There are specific standards that need to be met in digital learning just as in the typical learning environment. It is an educators
7. Lauren Quigley Week 2: DDD-E Analogy: DDD-E is like cooking a gourmet meal. First you DECIDE exactly what is going to be on the menu keeping in mind resources/number of guests. Next you DESIGN the meal including locating recipes/organizing ingredients. Next you DEVELOP the meal by physically creating each individual dish keeping the overall meal in mind at all times. You then EVALUATE though tasting your dishes/getting the opinions of your guests.
