1. Government has declared that it will abolish the death penalty and put an end to executions. It did, however, state that it will continue to operate. The death penalty would be stopped, but only the obligatory implementation of the sentence would be abolished. Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia. Today, the death penalty is permissible for a variety of offences, and the punishment is mandatory for others Legislation is yet to be introduced by the government.
