3. Microwaves are the electromagnetic waves with wavelengths ranging from as long as a few centimeter to as short as one millimeter and with frequencies ranging from 1GHz to 300GHz. Microwave really indicates the wavelengths in the micron ranges
4. BAND DESIGNATION: The microwave band designation firstly derived from world war 2 radar security considerations.These were never been officially sanctioned by any industrial,professional, or government organization
5. HF: used for long distance communication. VHF: used for FM radio,Television broadcasting. UHF : used for short distance communication
6. ADVANTAGES: 1.Larger bandwidth, due to larger bandwidth, more information can be transmitted using microwaves. 2.Better directive properties
